Sometimes being in foster care makes me feel really alone. Moving homes, changing schools, and saying goodbye to people I care about can be really hard. But when I start to feel that way, I turn to the Bible. Godβs Word reminds me that even if life changes, God never leaves me.
Here are three scriptures that remind me Iβm not alone:
Isaiah 41:10
βDo not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.β
When I feel scared about a new school or nervous about fitting in, this verse helps me breathe. God is right there with me, giving me strength.
Joshua 1:9
βBe strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.β
Sometimes I have to move to a whole new place. This verse reminds me that even when everything else changes, God goes with me. I donβt face the unknown alone.
1 Corinthians 8:6
βYet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.β
This verse reminds me that I belong to God. No matter where I live or what school I go to, my identity is safe in Him.
Why These Verses Matter to Me
Each of these scriptures gives me courage. When I feel lonely, I remember that God is always near, holding me, guiding me, and reminding me that I belong.
And if you ever feel like youβre on your own, I hope these verses remind you too: you are never alone.
